The Problem
The live entertainment industry is grappling with a cost-of-touring crisis. Venues are struggling to differentiate, and artists are finding it increasingly difficult to engage and monetise fans through traditional streaming experiences. These challenges are not just barriers to growth, they threaten to diminish the accessibility, creativity, and connection that defines live entertainment.
Furthermore, live-music streaming (concerts and festivals) in immersive audio, is not currently available due to the technical complexities and lack of infrastructure to provide these high-fidelity, cinematic experiences in real-time.

In the more demanding domain of live broadcast this technology has largely been reserved for F1 and Premier League football matches.

Their content is post-produced (an editing process), before marketing and release. This an important difference when it comes to delivering real-time cinematic experiences using immersive audio.

The 5G project was funded by the UK Government to explore the potential of 5G technology in live entertainment. While the original team has disbanded, we are carrying forward its legacy, by leveraging key findings, resources, and personnel to deploy our global vision.
